Update Alert Preferences Screen

 Purpose

The Update Alert Preferences screen is used to modify current preferences for the expired inventory and low inventory alerts. These alerts display on the manage inventory screen.

 Updating Expired Inventory Alert Setting

The Expired Inventory Alert displays for an inventory item which expires on or before a date equal to today's date plus N days in the future. To modify the expired inventory alert setting, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the 'manage inventory' hyperlink from the Menu Panel on the left side of the Main screen. The Manage Inventory screen displays.

  2. Click the Update Alert Prefs button. The Update Alert Preferences screen displays.

  3. Enter a value in days in the Inventory Expiration Alert section. The days you indicate overrides the system setting. An inventory item which expires on or before today's date + the number of days entered will trigger an alert on the manage inventory screen.

  4. Click the Save button.
