Clinician

A clinician assigned the Clinician role is an individual within a provider organization who physically immunize a client. In the event a clinician has an Clinician role, his or her name will be available for selection in the 'Administered By' pick list on the Pre-select Immunizations screen when entering new immunizations.

Ordering Authority

A clinician assigned the Ordering Authority role is an individual within a provider organization who is licensed by the state of Virginia to authorize the giving of immunizations to a client. In the event a clinician is given an Ordering Authority role, his or her name will be made available for selection in the 'Ordering Authority' pick list on the Pre-select Immunizations screen when entering new immunizations.

Ordering Authority/Clinician

When the Both option is selected for a clinician, this person will have the Clinician and Ordering Authority roles assigned to them. In addition, his/ her name will be made available for selection in both the 'Administered By' and 'Ordering Authority' pick lists on the Pre-select Immunizations screen when entering new immunizations.
